Millions of Yemeni citizens staged a mass rally
in Sabeen square in downtown the capital Sana’a on Sunday to mark the second
anniversary of steadfastness in the face of the US-Saudi aggression, 26

The rally attended by President Saleh al-Sammad, members of the Supreme Political Council, prime minister and government members, as well as members of the Shora council and parliament.

Pro-Houthi Court Sentences Yemen President to Death for Treason
A Yemeni court in territory controlled by the armed
Houthi movement sentenced the group's enemy in a two-year-old civil war
President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi and six other top officials in his government
to death for "high treason" on Saturday.
Saudi Arabia and a mostly Gulf Arab military
coalition have launched thousands of air strikes and a small number of ground
troops to try to dislodge the Houthis and restore Hadi to power, Reuters

The Houthis, allied to Saudi Arabia's arch-enemy
Iran, have progressively lost territory to the offensive but maintain control
over the capital and most population centers.
Several rounds of peace talks have ended in failure
and the Houthis insist Hadi is illegitimate and must stand down, a position
rejected by his government and the United Nations.
Saba quoted the Sanaa criminal court as having
convicted Hadi of "incitement and assistance to the aggressor state of
Saudi Arabia and its allies."
The death sentence for high treason was also passed
down on several senior government officials including the ambassador to the
United States Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak and the former foreign minister Riyadh
Yassin.

Red Crescent Society (KRCS) launched Sunday a campaign to collect donations for
people affected by the ongoing war in Yemen, said KRCS' Chairman of Board of
Directors Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer.
This campaign aims to ease living conditions for Yemenis, as there are over 18 million Yemenis were affected by the war and more than two million children suffering from lack of food and medical items, Al-Sayer told KUNA.
Yemen is facing one of the worst famines in the world, he said, calling on philanthropists and organizations to contribute to the donation campaign held at KRCS' headquarters.
Al-Sayer also called to support KRCS' projects aiming to develop services for Yemenis in need. These projects include education, health, water resources and food.
The society will receive cash and Knet donations from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, as well as online donations through KRCS' website, he noted.

Rebel supporters flood Yemen streets on
conflict anniversary
Hundreds of thousands took to the streets of Yemen's rebel-held
capital Sunday in a show of support for the insurgents, two years after a Gulf
coalition intervened against the rebels, France 24 reported..
The Yemen conflict pits the Shiite Huthi rebels and their allies
against government troops supported since March 2015 by a Saudi-led coalition.
The Iran-backed rebels staged a show of force over the weekend with
the mass rally in Sanaa and a symbolic court ruling against Yemen's embattled
president.
Crowds converged on the capital's Sabaeen Square on Sunday,
chanting their vows to "resist to the end".
The protest came a day after a rebel court in Sanaa sentenced
President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi to death for high treason in absentia.
The court found Hadi guilty of "usurping the title of
president after the end of his term in office ... instigating attacks by Saudi
Arabia and undermining the independence and integrity of the Republic of
Yemen", the rebel-controlled Saba agency said.
Six members of the Hadi government were also sentenced to death.
Hadi, whose two-year term in office expired in February 2014, now
lives in Saudi Arabia although he also visits his government's temporary
capital of Aden.
